Youth B2B Project
The project will target at-risk youth participating in the Youth Job Connection (YJC) and Youth Job Connection –Summer (YJCS) Programs, which include 60 hours of pre-employment training and paid work placement funded by Employment Ontario. Participants are youth with barriers including lack of soft skills and an understanding of business environments, have experienced challenging life circumstances, including those who may have barriers due to refugee experience, mental health and post traumatic issues.
The project’s duration is two years, in which a total of 80 youths will be trained in:
- Project scope identification
- Time and cost estimation
- Fundamentals of planning and budgeting
- HR and people management
- Stakeholders and type of contracts
- Risk analysis and response strategies
- Conflict resolution
Eligibility criteria: Open to all youth ages 15-29, who are residents of Ontario. Minimum language requirement LINC level 5
Funding source: Employment Ontario, RBC Foundation, No fees are changed from clients for services provided.
